Three-dimensional river

A large stream was moving along the vacant ground.
The streaming blue water was crystal clear and shaped like a long rectangular tube, though there was no existing tube or anything to make the water in such a shape.
This rectangular body of water in front of me was cracked.
Nevertheless, there was no blockage and water kept flowing nonstop.
It had a cross-sectional surface of water which looked like black ice.
In a cross section, I was able to see the layers of water and tried to slide myself into the crack.
The water depth was chest-high, though being in a crevice I never got wet.
I reached out my arm above the water level and drew a line along a ripple of water.
